fisher home favorites

looking back on some of my most favorite projects from the last year...and thinking about how glad I am that they will not be happening this year:)

this bathroom will never ever get old!

these yardstick stairs were a 3+ year project and I am so grateful that they are finally finished!

our back deck makes me take deeper, slower breaths...and my favorite part is the one I had NOTHING to do with....the ivy.

now to plan for 2013....

The Ballroom at Westside- sneak peak

I love my church, Providence in WC.  It is a wonderful community of people who encourage and support one another and it is a blessing to be part of such a loving church family.

Recently, they decided to market their building for more weddings and events.  It is a great space with tons and tons of room.  I was able to help decorate a little and set-up for a mock wedding so we could have a photo shoot by the wonderfully talented Hoffers.  I had so much fun!  Here are my "behind the scenes" photos....keep your eye out for the real deal...soon!

birthday celebrations

my house is one of my favorite places in the world, primarily because I live with 2 of my most favorite people.  the other day was my sister-in-laws birthday and while she was at work we transformed our dining room into a birthday wonderland! we had a great time celebrating her life, and celebrating that she is a part of ours...we are truly blessed.

O'malley baby shower

I had the greatest opportunity to do some decorations for my dear friends baby shower! Some people knew the sex of the baby, but she did NOT, so we had to keep people guessing!  I had seen a cute idea with mustaches and bows so we went with an eclectic mustache/bow themed shower!  Here were some of my favorite details!

tables- the infamous paint swatch utensil holders

mustache and bow garland
 cupcake toppers

balloon wall

the wonderful work of Apercu!
chocolate mustache & bow pops for favors!

OH! and I could not forget to share my first ever handmade onesie (well not the onesie but the art)!!! I was so proud of myself, and it only took 5 minutes! here is how...http://alphamom.com/family-fun/crafts/sandpaper-printed-t-shirt/

PS...she had a BOY! and he will rock this onesie like it is going out of style! (but it won't ever go out of style....because its so dang cute) :)

creative Christmas

this Christmas my mother-in-law and I decided to exchange hand made gifts...we didn't make to many rules, we just wanted to do something a little more creative and original than years prior...PINTEREST made this very very easy for me.  I stalked her "to make" page and found some things that I knew were on her radar to create whenever she got some free time.  I found this amazing birch branch decoration that could be cute for any occasion really, but it seemed perfect for Christmas.  Here was the inspiration...

and here is what I came up with...

I am already looking forward to next year:)
